One of the most widely used for its effectiveness in the treatment of cystitis remedies is cranberry and bearberry infusion. Drinking plenty of fluids is also very important in these cases
Often these infections occur because we have low body defenses.
If you have frequent infections or colds, general fatigue unjustified ...
If this is the case, in addition to taking cranberry bearberry + to treat cystitis, it would be advisable to take Echinacea, for the defense, since it is the basis to prevent infection.

RED CRANBERRY
It is an excellent preventive of this disease is usually used in the form of juice but must be quality and possibly that is not sweetened with sugar (The suitable amount is between 200 and 500 ml) day, or tablet
We can also opt for dried cranberries, to take it daily as well as help prevent infections in this way, we will benefit from the antioxidant power of this fruit.

ACTION CRANBERRY
The key of cranberry is in the way it has to act against the bacteria causing cystitis. Specifically what is used to treat this condition is the juice of the cranberry, which has a powerful bacteriostatic effect, i.e., it helps kill bacteria and prevents the spread of them, which increases the problem and makes it worse. Really it is making cranberry juice or tablets, is to prevent bacteria from nesting or stay fixed in the urinary tract.
But not only the thing stays there, but also of our urinary apparatus away from the bacteria, cranberry does is improve the state of the urinary tract optimizing performance. This is because containing tannins. The digestive system also will benefit from cranberry since their intake will kill the bacteria that causes digestive upset stomach and also to protect against the occurrence of ulcers in the stomach.

OTHER HELP
The gut and probiotics: In many cases the bacteria that cause infection, especially when it is chronic, comes from the gut, we can also take a supplement of probiotics regularly to maintain a healthy bacterial flora. These probiotics, which buy in pharmacies, should contain acidophilus.
Echinacea and / or cat's claw: To strengthen the immune system.
Vitamin C is essential to our overall health supplement. We can take each day as if it would eliminate excess urine naturally, and instead tend to be deficient in it.
It will help to raise defenses and to complement the natural treatment:
- Heat in the lumbar: Usually in the middle of the back:
- Electric mat

Acne is a common skin disease. Though it is a matter of worry but can be cured also.
What is acne?
Acne is medically known as Acne Vulgarism. It is not so dangerous, but it is our life’s most annoying skin curse .It arises during puberty, period of human development during which physical growth and maturation occurs. It arises on the face, chest, and back of a person. About 85% of people develop acne at some time between the ages of 12-25 years. It is also found in some newborns.
Causes of acne
No one is completely sure about the causes of acne. But experts believe that it arises because of the blockage on follicles. Our skin has tiny holes connected to the oil glands situated under the skin. The glands are connected to the pores through follicles. Sebum, an oily liquid, produced from the glands carries dead skin cells through the follicles to the surface of the skin. Sometimes the follicles get blocked because of excessive sebum or too many dead skin cells or something on the surface. Bacteria also join them and the result is acne.
Types of acne
There are different types of acnes. Some of these acnes can be really painful and can persist for a long time off period. If we know about the different types of acnes then it will help us to get relief from them correctly. These are as follows:

·         Whiteheads - occur on oily skin and remain under the skin and are very small.
·         Blackheads –occur not necessarily because of dirt. It is clearly visible. These are black and appear on the surface of the skin.
·         Papules – these are visible on the surface of the skin. These are small and pink.
·         Pustules –these are clearly visible on the surface of the skin. They are red at their base and have pus at the top.
·         Nodules - clearly visible on the surface of the skin. They are large, solid pimples. They are painful and are rooted deeply into the skin.
·         Cysts - clearly visible on the surface of the skin. They are painful, and are filled with pus. Cysts can easily cause scars.
Ways to get relief from acne
There are many simple but effective ways which can help to get relief of acnes and to get a healthy and lovely skin.
Honey:
Honey can do a miracle job for removing acnes. It can be used in many ways. One of them is-  to apply some honey over your pimples. Allow it to dry on its own for nearly an hour.  Then rinse it off with normal water. Hope it will work….
Ice:
Ice is also useful in the treatment of acne. We have to take an ice cube and wrap it up in a soft and clean piece of cloth. Now, it will have to apply all over the acnes and leave for few minutes. It will give faster relief and a soothing effect.
Papaya:
Papaya helps to remove dead skin cells and extra oil from the skin. It has an enzyme called Papain which reduces inflammation and prevents us from forming. Way to use it:   Firstly we have to rinse the face with water and pat dry. Then mash a papaya to a consistency so that it can be easily applied to the skin. Then leave it for 15-20 minutes and then wash it off.
Aloe Vera:
Aloe Vera gel can be used directly on the acnes. It has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and helps to reduce redness and skin irritation.
Banana peels:
Bananas peels are good for skin and also effective in treating acne. The peel has a very powerful antioxidant that helps to reduce inflammation and allows healthy cell growth. Firstly we have to Peel the banana then need to rub the peel on the face in a circular motion to get relief from the redness and discomfort caused by acne. We have to keep it for 30 minutes and then wash it off.
 Cautions:
Not to touch the skin:
We need to refrain ourselves from touching our faces. We need to keep your hands clean, wash them regularly. It is also necessary before applying lotions, creams or makeup.
Wash the face:
We need to wash our face to prevent acnes. It is one of the simplest and most effective ways to prevent acnes. We need to do it twice daily - once in the morning, and once at the end of our day. We should use a clean washcloth, warm water and a mild soap or cleanser. This simple way will be effective at ridding our skin of dust, dirt, dead skin cells and bacteria. We also are careful to keep our hair clean and away from our face. Because, hair collects sebum on skin.
Some regular exercise:
Half-an-hour's exercise, three to four times a week, though any amount is better than none, will help to change the appearance of the skin.
 Loose garments:
Our skin needs to breathe. If acne is on back, shoulders or chest then we should try to wear loose clothing. Tight garments should be avoided .If we have to wear them then make sure that they are cleaned regularly.
Not to sleep with makeup:
We should not go to sleep with makeup on. We should use only the makeup that is  nonacnegenic – we  should be able to read this on the label. If we cannot find it, we should ask the shopkeeper or pharmacist.
Not to use too many treatments:
We should not use too many acne treatments at once. Instead, we should use single products at a time
Should have patience:
We have to try to have patience. It might seem like the acne appeared overnight, but most treatments won't disappear overnight.
Be aware:
We have to practice smart marketing awareness of natural ingredients. We will have to  be cautious of ingredients that are marketed as "natural," home remedies, or are trademarked. Natural does not equate to safe skin treatment. We should use ingredients scientifically proven to treat skin.

What is anemia?

Anemia is a disease that occurs when the red blood cells become less than their normal number, or if the amount of hemoglobin in the blood decreases. This disease leads to a lack of oxygen in the body's organs. It also leads to various medical consequences. Anemia can be easily treated by intake of a healthy diet. Although there are other types of anemia, which are serious and can be treated easily and can also cause a threat to the life of an individual.

What causes anemia?

Iron deficiency is considered the main cause of anemia, which can be rectified by having a diet rich in iron. Various other reasons, which are held responsible as a cause of anemia are:   Certain clinical effects, such as bleeding of the bowel, crohn's disease and celiac disease, pregnancy, heavy menstrual periods, thalassemia, leukemia, bone marrow problems, kidney disease, rheumatoid arthritis, hormonal disorders, poor diet, surgery, injury or accident.

Signs and symptoms of anemia :

The most common symptom of anemia is fatigue and weakness. If a person is anemic, he / she may find it difficult to engage in activities that require physical endurance, even under normal tasks. Other signs and symptoms to recognize anemia are:
Shortness of breath, chest pain, cold hands and feet, pale and dull skin, dizziness, headache, lethargy, palpitations, altered taste, ringing in the ears, or tinnitus, sore gums and throat, brittle nails, low blood pressure, memory loss and depression.

Some home remedies for anemia:

Beet and apple juice for anemia

The apples are rich in iron as well as many components beneficial for health. On the other hand, the beet contains folic acid as well as fiber and potassium. This most nutrient rich part is just under the bark. So if you plan to have beets, you can simply roast in the stove with the bark. After it is cooked, peel them. You should have 1 cup of apple juice, 1 cup of beet juice, 1-2 tbsp of honey.
To do this: Mix apple juice with beet juice, add honey to it and mix well in the juice, take this juice twice daily.

The spinach for anemia

Just a half cup of spinach a day is what you need to treat anemia. This vegetable is rich in vitamins A, B9, E and C, iron, fiber, calcium and beta-carotene. Just half a cup of cooked spinach contains 3.2 mg of iron which is about 20% of daily iron needs! So include spinach in your daily diet. However, never forget to boil the spinach, although for a minute because spinach also contain oxalic acid, which interferes with the absorption of iron by the body. Boil the leaves can reduce the oxalic acid levels.

Tomatoes for anemia

Having more iron is not enough. You should be able to absorb iron. For this, you can eat tomatoes for best results. Tomatoes are rich in vitamin C and lycopene. Vitamin C is needed to absorb iron.

The pomegranate for anemia

The pomegranate can be called a super fruit because it contains too many beneficial elements. It contains protein, carbohydrates, fat, fiber and sugars. More importantly, it contains iron and calcium. It is rich in minerals such as potassium and copper. The pomegranate  increases hemoglobin in the blood and supports healthy blood flow. You will feel less exhausted, you will have less dizziness, weakness that is typical symptoms of anemia.
-Eating A medium sized pomegranate (about 200 g) each morning before breakfast.
-Otherwise you can drink a glass pomegranate juice daily with breakfast.

The Persil for anemia

Besides various other beneficial components, the parsley is rich in iron and folic acid. 100 g of parsley contains 5.5 mg of iron which means that a half cup of fresh parsley or 1 tablespoon of the dried herb can meet 10% of the daily requirement of iron your body! Not only that, its vitamin C content helps your body absorb iron.

Dates a cure for anemia

Delicious palm fruits, dates, are a rich source of iron. 100 grams of dates contain 0.90 mg of iron. Therefore, this is a good remedy for anemia, because it increases the hemoglobin in your blood. Dates are also rich in minerals such as calcium, manganese, copper and magnesium. Copper is particularly necessary for the production of red blood cells. So having dates daily can treat your anemia.

Eat liver against anemia

Iron we get from animals is called heme iron. Our body absorbs this dietary iron better than non-heme iron we get herbal food. Organ meat such as liver is an iron ore concentrate which is the most important nutrient that your body needs when suffering from anemia. Offal is much richer in nutrients than muscle meats. The liver can provide between 16 and 85 percent of the iron daily intake depending on what you eat as liver. Chicken liver is one of the best sources of iron. Raw chicken liver contains 9 mg of iron as beef liver contains about 5 mg of iron. The liver is also a very good source of B vitamins, especially B12 and copper, phosphorus and zinc. However, it is also important to eat the offal of these animals are raised in fresh pastures and are not treated with hormones, antibiotics, and commercial foods. So if you eat non-vegetarian food, you must include the liver to increase the iron content in the blood and get rid of anemia. However, if you survive a vegetarian diet, there are many more options like legumes.

Whole grains, legumes, nuts against anemia

As you know by now, your body can get the dietary iron from two sources namely animal and plant-based foods. Heme iron is found in animals, especially red meat, fish and poultry. Non-heme iron can be found in animals as well as plant-based food. Vegetarian sources of non-heme iron include vegetables, grains, lentils and beans. Whole grains, legumes and nuts are good vegetarian sources of iron and folic acid. However, you need to have a balanced vegetarian diet if you intend to get your iron from food herbal because heme iron you get from animals can be well absorbed by your body, without relying on other dietary factors. The absorption of non-heme iron, however, depends on other foods you eat. So take a balanced diet and also avoid some other foods. Here are some tips for you.

What you should do if vegetarian diet against anemia

-Eat Legumes such as beans, lima beans, peas, chickpeas and pinto beans are all good sources of iron.
-Have Nuts such as peanuts, almonds and walnuts. A half cup of walnuts can give 3.75 mg of iron.
-Eating Legumes and whole grains.
-Take lots of fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C and organic acids, so the non-iron heme is better absorbed by the body.
-Do not take tea, coffee, cocoa and meals rich in polyphenols which inhibit the absorption of non-heme iron by the body.

Raisins remedy to treat anemia

Raisins are an excellent source of nutrients such as different calcium, potassium, sodium, protein, fiber and iron. 100 g raisins offer 1.88 mg of iron. Many traditional medicines use raisins to treat anemia. .
Soak the raisins in water overnight.
In the morning, put them with honey.
T Honey is also rich in iron, which increases the amount of nutrients you get.

The 11-Wax gourd against anemia

Also called winter melon, white pumpkin, winter squash and wax gourd, has been used for centuries by Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine to treat various diseases. Rich in vitamins and minerals, such as calcium, iron, phosphorus, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin and vitamin C.

A good soup against anemia

Anemia is caused by nutritional deficiencies. Some fruits and vegetables are excellent to increase the amount of folic acid and iron in the blood. We talked about beets, apples, dates, raisins, wax gourd and other vegetables and fruits. Now let's make a soup of wax gourd to treat anemia.
A wax gourd, beets - ½ cup spinach (chopped) - 1 cup, 2 cups of water
to do this:
-Cut the squash into pieces
-Put water in a saucepan.
-Add squash, beets and spinach in the water.
-Boil it.
-Make boil until vegetables are tender.
Once cooked vegetables, prepare your soup.

Treatment of anemia by plants:

Sorrel kinky (curly dock): One of the most widely recommended for anemia is the root of sorrel curly plants. It is a weed roadside. But it turned out to be effective in raising the level of iron. Many people with anemia have surprised their doctors when they reported that their good results come from this single plant. Some were able to increase their hemoglobin levels in a few weeks with curly sorrel, but then we must stop using the plant. Elle is available as a tincture and capsules; but the best way to use it is dying because it better absorbed than when shooting in a capsule. This plant can cause diarrhea if the dose is too high.
Nettle: Another useful herb in the treatment of anemia, some sources suggest that nettle should not be used during pregnancy; it is often combined with leaves of red raspberry and oat straw. The addition of anise seed appears to improve results.
Dandelion and root burdock are often used in herbal combinations to treat anemia. They work by increasing the body's ability to absorb iron from food.
Alfalfa: is a plant that is very nourishing. It is often included in herbal combinations for blood.
Dong Quai:   Chinese herb helps in the treatment of anemia due to its high content of vitamin B12. This is a blood tonic and digestive stimulant.

Among the plants rich in iron and folic acid, found blueberries, codonopsis, amla, gugul and cilantro (leaves). Angelica china is rich in vitamin B12 and folic acid, increases the production of red blood cells.
To improve the absorption of iron, there is burdock, verbena, hawthorn, large gentian, hops. Drink before meals hot fresh ginger tea helps the body absorb iron. The Ginseng Siberian increases resistance and strength.
Make sure your diet is rich in iron, folic acid, protein and vitamins E and B12.
Remember, the health of your gut is crucial to ensure the nutrient absorption.

How brain decodes taste

Posted by Unknown on 11:09 AM with No comments

Human-Brain-2.0Researchers have discovered how taste is encoded in patterns of neural activity in the human brain.

A team of researchers from the German Institute of Human Nutrition in Potsdam and the Charite University Hospital in Berlin made the discovery.

The ability to taste is crucial for food choice and the formation of food preferences.

"Impairments in taste perception or hedonic experience of taste can cause deviant eating behaviour, and may lead to malnutrition or supernutrition," said lead researcher Kathrin Ohla.
"This knowledge is essential for the development of strategies to moderate deviant eating behaviour," Ohla noted.
Tastants in the mouth activate specific receptors on the tongue corresponding to each of the basic tastes: sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and savoury. The signal is then transduced further to the brain.
"This would be an important step to understanding how individual taste preferences are coded in the brain and of high relevance for clinical applications such as weight loss programmes," said co-researcher Niko Busch.
In the study, participants discriminated between sweet, salty, sour, and bitter tastants while their brain activity was recorded with electroencephalography (EEG) - a method that measures minuscule electrical signals generated by billions of neurons in the human neocortex.
Different tastes evoked different dynamic patterns of electrical activity. A machine learning algorithm could be trained to discriminate between these patterns.
Thus, given a piece of data, the algorithm could decode from the pattern of brain-wide activity which taste a participant had received in that moment.
This form of "mind reading" even made it possible to decode which of four tastants participants thought to have tasted when they were, in fact, incorrect.
The tastes that participants frequently confused with each other (e.g. sour and salty) were also frequently confused by the algorithm.
"The findings suggest that quality is among the first attributes of a taste represented in the central gustatory system," Ohla said.
The study was published in Current Biology.
